Obey the governments...wait...DON'T obey the governments.
by Funchback ini was thinking about how they jws are having underground meetings in russia and other countries giving total disregard to the laws established by their local governments.
i assume they would pull the "we're followers of god, not men" card.. but then on jw .
org they have this:two children of jehovah’s witnesses, expelled for conscientious stand, return to school.

I remember talking with an elderly sister and she mentioned the days when the KH was segregated, blacks in the back or in the balcony there was no problem in obeying the government . I was so surprised to hear that she was told to sit in the back in Jehovahs organization..

"We dont mourn the dead"
by HereIgo ini remember a brother making the above statement in regards to an elderly sister who had passed.
he stated we don't mourn or even visit grave sites because we have a hope that jah will resurrect the dead.
it seemed really creepy at the time, hell, even jesus wept when lazarus died.

Raised in a Baptist church in the south, Sunday services a all day event and funerals at a different level of emotions.Sunday services you have the folks that committed a sin Saturday night, so they are the ones running down the aisles asking forgiveness(always the same people) and when there's a funeral a lot of weeping and yelling. So at my first JW funeral what a difference, LOL......The old Baptist church funeral experience, the same actors that asking forgiveness on Sunday put on a show for the funeral..

You are a A-hole, you screwed up my life for 20 years and now i'am trying to unravel the mess...He passed years ago, so if he's in heaven I take it all back..Thinking about it, he can't be in heaven because all his kids walked away from the borg so yes he is a A-hole........

Should a JW accept Veteran payments?
by Tantalon inhello people,.
i was born in but long time faded.
i think i hold current jws to a higher standard than they now maintain.. here's the thing; my father is very old, in his nineties and been a jdub for over 60 years and even made it to elder till he got too old.on a recent visit my siblings and dad were saying how wonderful that veterans affairs were.

An family member(JW) a few years back he needed a by-pass operation, he worked for himself. I told him go to the VA, you will save a lot..He told me no way...The guy was in his 60's and it cost him dearly, he served in the Navy 1957-60...I saw him a few months ago and he told me he speaks at the VA center and he is trying to get benefits. I ask him what are you speaking about? Helping vets to get their benefits...Also get a little service time.....

Suffered from PTSD for years in silence. I became a JW two years after serving in Viet Nam and I eventually became an elder. Around the late 80's still not aware of my problem my anxiety attacks at times cause me to pass out. Never thought about the VA hospital and no way would I go to a VA hospital a JW elder,no way...After I left the organization I finally went to the VA and my diagnose, PTSD and I was awarded 100% disability for life.. As a JW I was told, more service time and it kept it under control but in my 50's it hit me (PTSD)..A co-worker told me to go to the VA. After the VA doctors explain to me what I was going through for years it all made sense but because I waited so long to seek treatment it created some big problems, the passing out...

"You will know them by their fruits" Wow sooo true..A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love...St. Basil. The fruits from JW organization is rotten, great job GB....

Who's got it wrong - the Bible or the "faithful slave?"
by The Searcher inaccording to the self-proclaimed "faithful and discreet slave" of jehovah's witnesses, all sorts of evil things are going to be allowed to occur during christ's 1000 year reign!
it-2 p. 789 resurrection - "they are judged, not on what they did before hearing his voice, but on what they do after hearing it.

That's not fair, 8 billion will die at Armageddon because they didn't except the message from cart witnesses, but the resurrected ones will have a 2nd chance because Satan was ruling the world, so now they will hear the only true message without Satan screwing up things.Who in the hell will practice vile things after walking out of their grave..I believe we have a legitimate beef, Jehovah we had the influence of your Angel and others and the JW cart preaching which was a big joke...Hell God there are over 34000 separate christian groups in the world today, how many were around in Jesus day?? So who got it wrong, it doesn't matter..
